SaporePuro Shipping: the new rates and why we are updating them

Preparing an order means selecting the required ingredients, protecting them, and entrusting them to a courier for delivery. The cost of this process includes transportation, surcharges applied by the carrier, and the labor necessary to prepare each package. At SaporePuro, we have continued to absorb part of these expenses. Starting from October 2026, the previous conditions no longer allow us to absorb them to the same extent: therefore, we are updating the shipping contribution and the thresholds for free delivery, maintaining a simple choice for those purchasing in Italy.

In Italy, shipping remains free from 30 euros

Standard shipping in Italy is free for orders over €30.00. For orders below this amount, the fixed contribution is €9.99. Compared to previous conditions, the threshold increases from 25 to 30 euros, and the standard contribution rises from €7.50 to €9.99. The threshold is calculated based on the value of the products after discounts, excluding shipping. Any selectable premium services have their own conditions, displayed before payment.

Why the courier cost does not match the price list alone

Carrier rates include adjustment mechanisms that we do not set. FedEx, for example, updates the national fuel surcharge every month and the Regional Economy surcharge every week. The calculation follows parameters related to the price of diesel; international air services use a different reference related to aviation fuel. To provide a concrete reference, FedEx publishes a national surcharge of 25.22% for October 2026 and a regional surcharge of 33% for the week from October 12 to 18, 2026. These percentages are applied according to the service and contract conditions: they do not indicate that all shipments have increased by those percentages. Values can also decrease. This data can be consulted on the official FedEx page on fuel surcharges.

Weight, volume, and destination affect transportation

A light and compact package does not cost the same as multiple heavy parcels. Carriers may also consider the volume occupied and apply additional costs for non-standard shipments or remote locations. FedEx describes these criteria in its official updates on additional services and surcharges. For this reason, for the destinations of the new foreign tables, we introduce distinct weight categories: up to 5 kg, over 5 up to 10 kg, over 10 up to 15 kg, over 15 up to 30 kg, and over 30 up to 50 kg. For weights above 50 kg, we prepare a dedicated quote.

How free shipping abroad changes

From October 2026, standard free shipping applies to all categories up to and including 50 kg, reaching the threshold set for the destination:

• EU countries listed in the notice, Spain excluding the Canary Islands: from €99.00.
• United Kingdom: from €150.00.
• Switzerland: from €50.00.
• Norway: from €100.00.
• Albania: from €75.00.

For the United States, automatic free shipping is not available. Below the destination threshold, the contribution for the appropriate weight category applies. For the destinations of the new tables, for weights over 50 kg, we prepare a dedicated quote before the order. The conditions for other markets remain distinct and are reported in the notice. The thresholds refer to the value of the products after discounts, excluding shipping. The base amounts are in euros; the checkout may convert them into the market currency and apply the tax treatment required for the destination. The indicative transit time is 1–3 working days in Italy and 3–10 working days abroad, from the time the courier takes charge. Estimates are not guarantees of delivery by a specific date.

An updated contribution, with clear conditions

The costs applied by couriers are external to SaporePuro; the decision on how to share them with buyers is ours. We have chosen to maintain standard free shipping in Italy for orders over 30 euros and to differentiate international shipping by weight and destination, rather than applying a single increase to all. The cost is displayed at checkout before confirming the purchase; the new conditions do not affect orders already confirmed.
