Here is how you can make ice cream at home using an ice cream maker or a Bimby:
With an ice cream maker:
- Prepare the ingredients: you will need 250 grams of Base Per Gelato Gioia, 250 grams of cream and 500 grams of milk.
- Pour the Base Per Gelato Gioia into a bowl and add the cream and milk. Mix well until the mixture is smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to the ice cream maker and start the machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. The ice cream maker will mix and cool the ice cream at the same time, creating a perfect texture.
- Let the ice cream maker work for about 20 to 30 minutes, or until the ice cream has reached the desired consistency.
- Once ready, transfer the ice cream to a container and place it in the freezer for a couple of hours to firm it up further. This will help the ice cream reach the ideal consistency before serving.
With a Bimby:
- Prepare the ingredients as above: 250 grams of Base Per Gelato Gioia, 250 grams of cream and 500 grams of milk.
- Pour all the ingredients into the Bimby.
- Start the Bimby on speed 3-4 for a few seconds, then gradually increase the speed to maximum. Pasteurize the mixture at 85°C.
- Freeze the mixture in the freezer until it is totally frozen.
- Once frozen, transfer the mixture to the Bimby
- Start the Bimby on speed 3-4 for a few seconds, then gradually increase the speed to maximum.
- Let the Bimby work for a few minutes or until the ice cream reaches the desired consistency.
- Transfer the ice cream to a container and place it in the freezer for a couple of hours to firm it up further.
Whether you use an ice cream maker or a Bimby, remember to always follow the manufacturer's instructions for best results. And don't forget to leave room for your creativity by adding dried fruit or fruit pastes to create custom flavors.
For dried fruit, reduce the cream to 150gr and add 100gr of dried fruit paste (pistachio or hazelnut paste).
